So-called Quiet Steel at the firewall, a soundproofing dash mat and thicker glass helps keep out unwanted noise... Impala is long on fuel economy with room for 5 or 6 adults and a cavernous 18.6-cubic-foot trunk. All positives as the family sedan. Overall braking performance was very good.
