Wonderfully smooth, quiet ride
A solid, reliable car...that offers a good ride, decent performance and comfort, and blends in nicely with the crowd.
The larger dimensions allow for more passenger and cargo space--a good thing.
The flawlessly assembled controls felt substantial and hefty, as befitting a precisely engineered car.
It delivers the typical Camry traits with the bonus of above-average fuel economy.
...the Camry [Hybrid] offered the smoothest transitions between gasoline and electric power.
...the Camry continues to reign as the king of family haulers.
Since its debut in the United States nearly 25 years ago, the Camry has earned a reputation for smart design, pleasing function, build quality and durability. It's not all hype.
It has a roomy cabin, efficient hybrid powertrain, and stronger acceleration than many regular four-cylinder family sedans.
In terms of ride, handling and interior comfort, were it not for the graphic display of the hybrid's status, the substitution of a welcome, real-time, fuel economy gauge for the tachometer and the unique, abbreviated shift gate, we easily could have believed we were driving an XLE.
